Rizer vs. Clari Forecast operations vs. closed-lost analysis

Clari forecasts the pipeline. Rizer explains the pipeline you lost.

One sizes the gap. The other explains it.

Clari is built to predict and manage the number: forecast rolls, pipeline inspection, and deal risk across the quarter in flight. Rizer is built for what falls out of that forecast: the leads and deals you lost, why you lost them, and which are worth going back to. One tool looks forward, the other looks back.

Which one do you actually need?

Choose Rizer when

  • You run HubSpot and want answers this quarter, not after a rollout.
  • You can measure the miss, but nobody agrees on the cause.
  • Losses keep repeating against the same competitor or objection.
  • You need fixes owned outside sales: pricing, product, positioning.
  • Closed-lost pipeline is sitting in HubSpot doing nothing.

Choose Clari when

  • Forecast submissions are inconsistent across teams and regions.
  • Leadership needs weekly pipeline inspection and roll-ups.
  • Forecast discipline across many teams and territories is the problem.
  • You need one tool spanning several CRMs.
  • The quarter in flight matters more than the quarter you lost.

Run both when

  • The forecast is accurate and the win rate still will not move.
  • Board questions have shifted from "will we hit it?" to "why did we not?"
  • You want next quarter’s plan informed by last quarter’s losses.

A forecast sizes the miss. This is what explains it.

Not another roll-up view. A ranked list of what is costing you revenue with an owner on each line, and a queue of lost deals whose blocking reason no longer applies.

Sample output with illustrative figures. Every line in a real report links back to the specific HubSpot leads and deals behind it, so you can open the evidence before you act on the number. Ask us for a live walkthrough on your own data.

Feature by feature, without the spin.

The last group is the one worth reading: it lists where Clari is the better buy and Rizer is not. If a comparison table written by a vendor never loses a row, it is an ad, not a table.

Rizer vs Clari, answered

Is Rizer a forecasting tool?

No. Rizer does not predict the quarter, score open deals, or run a forecast cadence. It analyses the revenue you already lost and turns it into ranked causes, owned fixes, and winback targets. If forecast accuracy is your problem, buy Clari.

We already report on closed-lost. Why add Rizer?

Reporting counts losses by whichever reason was typed into a dropdown. Rizer reads the surrounding history to find the pattern behind those labels, including the cases where the stated reason is not the real one, and it covers the disqualified leads that never reach a forecast tool at all.

Do we have to replace anything?

No. Rizer connects to HubSpot and reads history. Your forecasting cadence, fields, and process stay exactly as they are.

Why not just build a HubSpot report, or export closed-lost to a spreadsheet and ask ChatGPT?

A HubSpot report can only group by the closed-lost dropdown, so it tells you what reps typed, not what happened. A spreadsheet export plus a chat model gets closer, but it reads the records you happened to export, has no view of stage movement, competitor fields, email and note history, or the leads that never became deals, and it produces a different answer every time you ask. Rizer runs the same analysis against your full history on a schedule, keeps the evidence trail per finding, and ends in a callback list rather than a paragraph.

We run on Salesforce, not HubSpot. Can we use this?

Salesforce support is on the roadmap. Rizer runs on HubSpot today because the analysis is built around how HubSpot models lead and deal history, and doing that properly per CRM is the work. If you are on Salesforce, talk to us now and we will line you up for it.

How do we know the analysis is not just guessing?

Every verdict is traceable. Open any loss driver and you get the individual deals and leads it was built from, the fields and history that produced the classification, and the cases where Rizer disagreed with the reason a rep recorded. Check the evidence on a handful of deals you remember personally before you trust the aggregate. That is the review we ask new customers to do first.

What does Rizer get access to, and does it write anything back?

Read-only HubSpot scopes covering contacts, companies, deals, and associated activity. Nothing is written back to your CRM, no fields are created, and no records are modified. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and is never used to train shared models. We are mid-SOC 2 Type II and will send the current report and our sub-processor list to your security team on request.

How long until the first real answer?

Connecting HubSpot takes about 15 minutes and is a standard OAuth flow. The first analysis runs against history you already have and comes back the same day, typically within a few hours depending on how many records you are bringing. There is no data collection period to wait through.

What does it cost?

Annual pricing scales with the size of your sales team, and it is a line item rather than a procurement cycle. Current tiers are on the pricing page; if your setup is unusual, the audit call ends with a number.

You can already see the gap. Now see what caused it.

If you run HubSpot, connect it read-only and get your own ranked loss drivers and callback list back the same day. Your forecast process does not change.

Read-only access. Nothing written back to your CRM. No change to how the forecast is run.
